The Conservative Friends of Russia is a new organisation established for those with an interest in Russian politics, history, business and culture, with the aim of strengthening relations between the British and Russian communities and informing political decision-making within both countries. It is open to anybody with an interest in the subject matter, regardless of political persuasion either in the UK or in Russia, although the organisation will also help to inform the policy making of the UK Conservative Party.
Honorary President is Rt.Hon. Sir Malcolm Rifkind KCMG, PC, QC, MP and the founding Chairman of CFoR is Richard Royal. The Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Alexander Yakovenko, was delighted to host the Conservative Friends of Russia’s Summer Garden Party at his residence.
