On 26–27 November 2018 London will host the 4th Russian–British Business Forum (RBBF) with support from the Roscongress Foundation. This year the RBBF will become the platform for dialogue under the slogan ‘Partnership in Innovation’. The Roscongress Foundation supports this event aiming to develop the RBBF as a venue for a dialogue between business and expert communities of both countries. Over 800 delegates representing authorities, business communities, non-profit organizations and development institutes from both countries are expected to attend the event. The purpose of the annual Russian–British Business Forum is the development of trade and investment relations between Russia and the UK and international business communities.
According to the Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov, the development of ties between businesses entities will contribute to the improvement of bilateral Russian–British relations. “Exploring Russian market options will facilitate tapping into considerable networking potential. Despite the sensitive geopolitical situation and imposed sanctions, cooperation with Russia continues to appeal to business,” he noted.
Series of panel sessions, reports of international experts, presentations of new developments and an exhibition on cooperation with Russian regions and companies are on the agenda of the 26 November 2018, the main day of RBBF. The talks will be on the promotion of high-tech exports, the digitalization of the economy, the services and other trade expansion.
Business negotiations, signing of agreements and visits to production sites and headquarters of international companies are scheduled for 27 November.
The RBBF is organized by the Russian Trade Delegation in the United Kingdom with the support of Russian agencies involved in foreign trade, the Russian Embassy in the United Kingdom, the Roscongress Foundation, and over 30 Russian and international partners. The Forum takes place annually as part of the Eastern Seasons Week of business and cultural events organized with the participation of the BSI Global Group.
The event will be held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre.
The Russian–British Business Forum takes place annually in late November in London. At the Forum, representatives of the political and business establishment cover practical issues related to the development of markets and trade relations, export policy, investor relations, and ways to expand bilateral and multilateral cooperation in different industries. In 2017, the RBBF hosted more than 500 participants and 35 distinguished speakers, receiving support from 30 Russian and international organizations.
The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of international conventions, exhibitions, and public events.
The Roscongress Foundation was founded in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential and strengthening the country’s image by organizing international conventions, exhibitions, and public events. The Foundation develops substantive content for such events, providing companies and organizations with advice, information, and expert guidance, and offering comprehensive evaluation, analysis, and coverage of the Russian and global economic agendas. It offers administrative services and promotional support for business projects and helps to attract investment, including in the form of public-private partnerships.
Today, its annual programme includes events held from Montevideo to Vladivostok, offering an opportunity to bring together global business leaders, experts, the media, and government officials in one place, creating favourable conditions for dialogue and the promotion of new ideas and projects, and assisting in the creation of social enterprise and charity projects.
